I'm sure you've seen it already, but this appears to be Google's attempt
at a safe sandbox. I haven't looked in detail, but this appears to
require applications to be recompiled. That may mean that very little
work is required at runtime, which would be nice.

Performance varies but according to the paper, Quake runs at exactly
the same speed as before. A few benchmarks got faster, a few got
slower due to the alignment rules reducing icache effectiveness.
